A new identity for an organization doing vital work in the community.

Heron Grief Support provides counselling, companionship, and community connection for individuals and families navigating end-of-life and loss in Delta and Tsawwassen Lands.

THE CHALLENGE

Too many people in the community were unaware that Heron's support existed—and those who did know often couldn't distinguish it from the broader medical system. The brand needed to step forward with a clearer identity, one that felt accessible and human rather than clinical or institutional.

The Approach

We began with a full brand strategy, working through discovery, audience insights, and competitive research to define where Heron stood and where it needed to go.

The RESULT

From there, we developed a new visual identity built around warmth, clarity, and steady presence—including a new name direction, logo system, illustration suite, typography, and colour palette. A brand that clearly communicates who Heron is and who they serve, giving individuals, donors, and community partners a consistent and trustworthy identity to connect with.
